Alleppey - Venice of the East

Alleppey:
Alleppey - the backwaters of Kerala are the USP of Kerala. Alleppey is filled with inland canals, rice and wheat plantations and varieties of fish and prawn farming. Alleppey is also famous for snake-boat racing during the famous festival "Onam", which happens in the month of August. The special attraction of this place is the house-boat journeys through the rivers. This makes Alleppey unique! Livelihood in Alleppey depends only upon boats because it's water-water all around and no land! But availability of food for tourists is always there. The place looks beautiful encircled by coconut trees. There are few images which our hearts can never forget. Alleppey is one of them!
